Kanphata yogi followers of Goraknath (fl. 1200). Centered on Gorakpur, U.P. a class of Saiva mendicants distinguished by wearing large earrings and also Shiva's lingo (here called nad) attached to their necks by a string, and who carry a fan of peacock feathers [slides]  British Library
