A miniature of identical composition is also in the Rijksmuseum. Amsterdam (ex. Hulsmann-Stock Collection). Mul Chand's style is close to that of Ram Sahai with whom he apparently worked in close collaboration. Like Ram Sahai he retains affinities with earlier eighteenth-century Mughal painting.
