Atop the main altar of the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, is the image of the saint, who has climbed up to Jesus on the cross, on the three steps of the monastic vows of Poverty, Humility and Obedience. In a rare gesture, Jesus has taken his right arm off the cross, to embrace the saint. The Church of St. Francis of Assisi, built in 1661, Old Goa.
